TOWNSHIP SIGNAGE THEFT AND VANDALISM:     Public Alert: Vandalism and Theft of Township Signs Dear Residents, Signs in our Township continue to be stolen and/or vandalized.   This includes various types of signs that are essential for public safety.  Vandalism of public property is a serious offense and negatively impacts the safety of our residents and visitors. Replacing or repairing damaged signs is costly, especially for a small town with a very limited sign budget.   Even more concerning is the fact that the theft of some of the signs, such as stop signs, puts the lives of people in danger. Please be on the lookout for any suspicious activity, particularly during nighttime hours. If you witness vandalism or notice any individuals tampering with signage, do not approach them, but contact local authorities immediately. To report incidents or suspicious activity, you can call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at (920) 674-7310.   Frank Sauter, Town of Palmyra Chairman
