Notice of Possible Quorum of Town Board at Village Meeting: TOWN OF PALMYRA - TOWN BOARD NOTICE TO PUBLIC ABOUT POSSIBLE TOWN BOARD QUORUM IN ATTENDANCE AT VILLAGE MEETING This notice is given to inform the public that a quorum of Town of Palmyra Board members may be in attendance at the Village of Palmyra’s Special Village Board Meeting, scheduled for January 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at the Palmyra Public Safety Building at 126 First Street, Palmyra, WI. This is a Village meeting where a quorum of Town Board members MAY be present. No Town business will be conducted, and Town attendance is merely for information gathering purposes. Question: My question to the board is where are we at with regards to the EMS/FIRE contract? A lot of citizens are very concerned about their safety. I checked with my home owners insurance and was told my premiums would DOUBLE if the fire station is more than 5 miles from my home
Answer: We are currently covered under a contract with the Village of Palmyra Fire Department. However, there are residents in the Town of Palmyra who are more than 5 miles from the fire station.
