Question and Answer on Fire/EMS contract – 01/24/2022

Question:  My question to the board is where are we at with regards to the EMS/FIRE contract? A lot of citizens are very concerned about their safety. I checked with my home owners insurance and was told my premiums would DOUBLE if the fire station is more than 5 miles from my home

Answer:  We are currently covered under a contract with the Village of Palmyra Fire Department.  However, there are residents in the Town of Palmyra who are more than 5 miles from the fire station.
