April 24, 2026
To the Residents of Jefferson County, Wisconsin,
If you experienced damage from the recent storms that occurred between April 13, 2026, and April 23, 2026, we ask that you report it by calling 2-1-1.
Please report any type of storm-related impact, including:
- Damage to your home or property
- Flooding or water damage
- Business closures or losses
- Agricultural or other impacts
Collecting this information is critical for the State of Wisconsin and county officials to assess the overall extent of damage. This data is used to determine whether the state may pursue federal disaster assistance.
At this time, no federal assistance has been requested or approved. However, if assistance is pursued in the future, only reported damage can be considered. If you do not report your damage, we may not be able to assist you with any potential reimbursement or recovery programs.
We strongly encourage all residents who have experienced any level of damage to call 2-1-1 as soon as possible.
Your participation helps ensure an accurate assessment of community impact and strengthens our ability to advocate for assistance if it becomes available.
Thank you,
Tracy Hameau
Jefferson County Emergency Management Director
